Claims, liability and shipping terms for UPS shipments handled by Infinity Logistics.

UPS CLAIMS & LIABILITY CLAUSE

We highly recommend that you choose insurance for your shipment if its High value, Multiple boxes, perishable or Non Stackable in Nature

The maximum liability for each shipment /Invoice/valuation is up to USD 100 only.

The insurance quote can be provided to you on request.

Please note by NOT selecting the insurance option, the default liability will be up to a maximum of USD 100 in case of damages, Shipment Loss & partial loss etc.

UPS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Rates quoted are for General Cargo
  • Any documentation required at Origin/Destination needs to be provided by Shipper/Consignee
  • Any misdeclaration in the Invoice/Packing List will lead to penalty from customs which will be later billed to your account especially for exports to GCC.
  • MANUAL AWB CHARGES of AED 75 applies if the customer fails to use the electronic AWB provided by us.
  • AWB AMENDMENT CHARGES of AED 25 applies if AWB is generated and any further amendment required thereafter.
  • ADDRESS CORRECTION CHARGES of AED 75 applies if Address is incomplete/incorrect/revised when the shipment is already in transit.
  • REMOTE AREA SURCHARGE applicable on case to case basis. May apply if location of shipper is under 'Non Serviceable/Remote area at the origin. Will be billed at actuals.
  • NON STACKABLE CHARGES of AED 580 applicable, if shipment is deemed to be non-stackable due to its packaging, content, shape or is clearly marked with DO NOT STACK instructions and below conditions:
    • Shippers provide explicit instruction not to stack, by attaching stickers or equivalent markings on the shipment
    • Top level of the pallet should be firm enough and leveled to be stacked; No small size carton or pallet should be fixed with it
    • Carton quality is taken into consideration.
    • Contents of the shipment (fragile/ DG/ structure)
    • Odd shaped pallets / pieces is subjected to OHP (Rods / too long pieces)
  • EXPORT BOE CHARGES of AED 150/- (NON FREEZONE for invoice value exceeding AED 1000) and AED 220/- (FREEZONE Irrespective of Invoice value) will be applicable for Export Shipments
  • DDP/ADMIN Charges of AED 150 + VAT applicable along with DUTY AT ACTUALS if billed to Account. Customs duty needs to be paid on delivery by Cash if DDP charges to not be applied.
  • ADDITIONAL HANDLING SURCHARGE of AED 25 applies for packages with actual weight of over 30 KGs, if weight found to be over 30 KGs upon re-measure the charges will be applied.
  • LARGE PACKAGE SURCHARGE of AED 260 per package applies for packages exceeding the Girth of 300 CMs but not exceeding 400 CMs in addition the chargeable weight will be considered 40 KG/Package.
  • Girth is measured as Length + Widthx2 + Heightx2
  • OVER MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS SURCHAGE of AED 480 per package applies to packages exceeding girth 400 CMs or Length of 274 CMs in addition to LARGE PACKAGE SURCHARGE as above.
  • The price quoted is based on information provided at the time of the quotation should any of this information be inaccurate upon re-measuring by UPS in their facility, the charges will be revised in accordance.
  • The PER KG rate of the shipment may vary considering the change in final chargeable weight. Higher rates may apply on case to case basis for some sectors should the final chargeable weight found to be lower than at the time of RFQ as special rates apply for+30 KGs.
  • The above rates are inclusive of the Fuel Surcharge. If the shipment is picked up after Fuel Surcharge validity, charges will be revised in accordance.
  • All rates are excluding custom related charges and import duty & taxes. Customs duty and taxes will be on consignee's account unless otherwise specified. Customs duties and taxes will be subject to government regulation.
  • Please note that for export shipments booked under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) terms, the consignee is responsible for paying the applicable import duties and taxes at destination. If the consignee fails to make the payment, the carrier reserves the right to bill the outstanding duty and tax charges back to the shipper, which may occur within approximately 30–45 days after shipment delivery.
